PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing bending of a rod for opening a blast furnace tap hole is provided to easily carry out centering and penetration of a tap hole by improving a method for operating a proportional control valve for driving a feed motor inside a feed control valve box. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for preventing bending of a rod for opening a blast furnace tap hole(30) comprises a limit(300) which is adhered onto guide rails formed on both side parts of a tap hole opener to automatically cutoff a bending prevention switch(400) of a remote controller; a means which is installed on the remote controller to turn on or off the rod bending prevention switch(400); a magnetic maintenance control valve which is installed inside a control box to prevent bending of the rod during misoperation of a proportional control valve for driving a feed motor(50); and a BIR bending prevention circuit which is installed on a receiving panel circuit of an operation room and operated according to operation of the bending prevention switch(400), wherein the limit(300) is adhered onto a 1500 m point of the guide rails.
