PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance convenience when a program is installed from a server to a client. SOLUTION: When a version update processing part 22 gets started, a main processing part 21 acquires information on the update of an installation program for causing the version update processing part 22 to function from the server 1. When the installation program is determined to have been updated, the main processing part 21 downloads a setup file 132 including the installation program from the server 1 and installs the file into the client 2. Further, the server 1 acquires, from the client 2, the name of a group including a program to be installed into the client 2, and allows the client 2 to download thereto a setup file 131 including program belonging to the group whose name has been acquired.
