PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension treatment apparatus capable of reducing the load of a solid by installing a hydrocyclone at the front stage of a filter apparatus and capable of dealing with raw water high in turbidity at the time of rainy weather or the like by a filter apparatus using a fiber filter medium. SOLUTION: Raw water is supplied to the hydrocyclone 3 by the pressure feed pump 2 arranged to an intake tank 1 to revolve and separate suspended particles in raw water and about 50-60% of suspended particles with a particle size of 5 μm or more is separated. A flocculant is added to separated water in which only fine particles having a low sedimentation speed remains to flocculate the remaining fine particles and this separated water is supplied to the filter apparatus 4 using the fiber filter medium to collect flocs flocculated by the fiber filter medium 6 and treated water subjected to solid-liquid separation treatment is taken out. The filter medium used in the filter apparatus 4 is the small piece like filter medium 6 formed by welding composite fibers and the gaps of the formed filter medium bed 5 are ensured to enable long-time operation. The gaps of the fiber filter medium 6 are uniform when the washing of the filter medium is performed at the time of clogging, and the washing and regeneration of the filter medium is easy. |
