PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To consider copyright protection in a high-speed sound recording and to allow a high-speed copying right after a sound recording medium exchange when sound recording is not completed by the deficiency of the capacity of a sound recording medium. SOLUTION: A prescribed time value is set as a sound recording prohibition time in a timer corresponding to information to specify the track (music) of a CD detected by an identifying means 5a and simultaneously a corresponding UTOC check flag is set and is stored into a memory means 15. The prescribed time value of the track at which the high-speed sound recording is started is subtracted by the data of a counter means 13 and is made into zero. If the corresponding UTOC check flag is reset, the value is deleted together with the information to specify the track and if the sound recording is completed, the UTOC check flag is cleared as well. When the sound recording is interrupted by the deficiency of the capacity of the recording medium, since a control means clears the value of the corresponding timer at which the UTOC writing check flag is erected, the copying failing to be completed after the exchange of the sound recording medium can be immediately started. |
