The present invention relates to a device and a method for generating ozone in exposing air or oxygen (6) for high tension voltage in an ozone generating device (1) comprising at least one unit (9) have plane or cylindrically formed ceramic elements (4, 4') with electrodes (2) and an earth plane (3) situated outside said elements.
