PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for packaging a triangular-prism-formed object to be packaged wherein a material film roll can be used, high-speed automatic packaging can be done by a packaging film sheet cut into a required octagonal form, and tight packaging can be realized. SOLUTION: After the packaging film sheet S1 of a required octagonal form is folded into a channel shape so that a folded form covering the longest first rectangular surface W1 and triangular surfaces W2 and W3 on both sides of the triangular-prism-formed object W is interposed between a pair of side face film pressing plates 25 and 26, one of film peripheries S11 and the other periphery S12 are used to cover the second rectangular surface W2 and the third rectangular surface W3 and laterally feed toward the triangular surface W3 after the film peripheries S11 and S12 are heat-sealed at points so as not to open. The film peripheries S11 and S12 are pressed not to open by a pair of film pressing guides 27a and 27b, and heat seals 12a and 12b are applied on an end rim of the outer film periphery S12 to the inner film periphery S11. In addition, heat seals 13a, 13b and 13c are applied to the vicinity of the object W of respective fins 9, 10 and 11.
