PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material for giving a beautiful photograph, particularly a good contrast photograph under various weather and lighting conditions and to provide a lens attached film unit housing the sensitive material. SOLUTION: In the silver halide photographic sensitive material having a sensitivity S, DR defined by DR(E)=D((LogE)+0.9)-D(LogE)-0.9) from a characteristic curve showing the relation between density (D) and light exposure (LogH) satisfies the relational expressions 0.80<=DR(50/S)/DR(6/S)<=0.95 (1-1) and 0.75<=DR(280/S)/DR(50/S)<=1.10 (2-1).
