PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an envelope which is not stripped off at a position where an adhesive is applied for sticking a sealing flap, but stripped at a position other than the position where the adhesive is applied, when the envelope is unsealed, and which can be simply unsealed by the receiver. SOLUTION: A sealing part 9 surrounded by a half slit in a depth not penetrating through an envelope forming paper material and being available for splitting is provided along the breadthwise direction of an enclosing port at one of opposite faces 8a either at a sealing flap 7 or an overlapping part 8 whereto the sealing flap 7 is folded down, and an adhesive 12 is applied at least to one out of the sealing part 9 and a corresponding part 11 which corresponds to the sealing part 9 when the sealing flap 7 is folded down.
