PURPOSE: A hood-cum-heater-cooler of a microwave oven is provided to cool a heater of a microwave oven efficiently by an exhaust motor without an additional cooling fan. CONSTITUTION: A heater cooling apparatus comprises: a heater(30) installed in the upper part of a cavity; a passage(45b) flowing air from a suction part in the lower part to the upper part through a side of the cavity; and an exhaust motor(20) in the rear part of the cavity discharging air sucked from the passage through the heater. A cooling fan is installed in an electric component chamber at a side of the cavity to generate airflow. Air flows through the cavity to a cavity exhaust part(21) in the upper part of the cavity to discharge to the front through the heater. The heater is efficiently cooled with the cooling fan and the exhaust motor at the same time.
