PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planetary shift mechanism having the constitution capable of relatively easily assembling a ring gear and capable of reducing a brake diameter. SOLUTION: A planetary shift mechanism comprises a sun gear 31 joined to a transmission input shaft 11, a carrier 32, a ring gear 35 joined to a pulley driving shaft 15, a forward clutch 50 for engaging/disengaging the sun gear and the ring gear and a backward brake 60 capable of braking/holding the carrier. The forward clutch is constituted by arranging a clutch piston 52, a clutch plate 53 and a clutch disc 54 in a clutch guide 51 fixedly arranged on the pulley driving shaft, an outer peripheral end part 51a of the clutch guide is installed by engaging with the ring gear by a spline, the right end of the ring gear abuts to a first snap ring 56, and the left end of the ring gear abuts to the carrier to be positioned in the shaft direction.
