PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an input device that the operability of data entry can be enhanced almost without changing a volume of an information processing unit itself for a mobile phone or the like. SOLUTION: Other part than a display section 101 in a telephone set body 102 of a mobile phone set 100 is placed lower by one step, and an operation section 105 as an entry device is freely attachably and detachably placed to this part. The operation section 105 is used for a variety of entry operations in a state such that it is mounted on the telephone set body 102. When the operation section 105 is removed, turning a track ball (not shown) on a desk generates positions information and a right button 107 and a left button 108 can enter various instructions. A battery is contained in the operation section 105 so as to efficiently use the space.
