The gun has a stock (1) supporting a lock (2a) having a barrel (2) with a weapon sights (3) which is rotated about the axis (5) of the gun barrel, or about an axis parallel to the latter under control of a drive (7). A position sensor detects the position of the weapon sights and is coupled to a control for regulating the position of the weapon sights relative to the stock, e.g. by controlling the operating voltage for the drive motor.
