Disposable absorbent article for topical adhesive attachment to a wearer has a wearer facing surface and a garment facing surface and an absorbent core in between the surfaces.. The article comprises on at least a part of the wearer facing surface an adhesive for topical attachment to the wearer. The adhesive has an elastic modulus at 37 degC (G'37) and has a viscous modulus at 37 degC (G''37). The adhesive is selected to have: G'37 (1 rad/sec) of 1500-20,000 ( especially 1500-15,000, more especially 3000-10,000)Pa; G''37 ( 1rad/sec) of 100-15,000 ( especially 100-10,000, more especially 300-5,000) Pa; the ratio of G'37 ( 1 rad/sec)/ G''37 ( 1 rad/sec) of 2-50, especially 3-30, the ratio G'37 ( 100 rad/sec- G''37 ( 100 rad/sec) G'37 ( 1 rad/sec)-G''37 ( 1 rad/sec) of not less than 0.5, preferably 0.7-3, more especially 1-1.8. Alternatively either G'37 ( 100 rad/sec)-G'37 ( 1 rad/sec is not greater than 10,000 ( especially 5,000, more especially 2,000)Pa or the ratio G'37 ( 100 rad/sec)- G'37 ( 1 rad/sec) divided by G'37 ( 1 rad/sec) is not greater than 1, more especially 0.8. |
