PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a system compact while simplifying management, control, maintenance and inspection by selectively and successively detecting and measuring the measuring adjustment of the concn. of free chlorine in water in a water storage equipment having a plurality of water tanks by a single residual salt detecting portion (sensor) and automatically adjusting the concns. of free chlorine in the water in a plurality of the water tanks on the basis of the measured data. SOLUTION: Water samples taken from water 2, 2', 2" in three water tanks 1, 1', 1" are selectively and successively led out to a single residual salt detecting part 7' from sample water lead-out passage 4, 4', 4" through motor driving type three-way valves 18, 18', 18". The concns. of free chlorine in the water samples from the storage tanks 1, 1', 1" are detected and measured by a sensor main body 8 and adjusted to a set values by automatically turning a chemical injection pump ON/OFF on the basis of a control value to make it possible to hold the optimum concn. of free chlorine in water.
