PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability when data is inputted. SOLUTION: A dialog box DB2 provided with a data input field E13 is displayed on a screen. When a mouse cursor mc is moved to the area of the data input field E 13 of 'paper length' in response to a mouse operation by a user on the image, the size of the data input field E13a is expanded to shift the data input field 13E to an active state in which a data input is available. Thus, this device is excellent in operability since the data input field is expanded in a data input mode even when the kinds of input data are increased to make the size of the data input field too small for them.
