摘要 PURPOSE: A base station wireless environment diagnosing method using an access channel of a personal portable communication system is provided to obtain an effect that whether a remote base station sets ore leases a call normally can be observed from a remote place without directly going to the pertinent base station, and diagnose a wireless environment of the base station by analyzing backward channel information transmitted from a terminal to the base station. CONSTITUTION: A base station control(BSC) diagnosis block of a BSC receives an access channel state check command from an upper part and transmits it to a base station transceiver sub-system(BTS) diagnosis block of a pertinent BTS. Upon receipt of the command, the BTS diagnosis block transmits a command that an arbitrary identification No. suitable to a corresponding sector and a channel is to be transmitted to the BTS call processing block if the sector and the channel corresponding to the access channel state check command are in a normal state, while, if the corresponding sector and the channel are not in a normal state, the BTS diagnosis block informs the upper part of the abnormal state. When the BTS call processing block normally transmits the terminal identification No. to the BTS diagnosis block, the BTS diagnosis block sends a command that the terminal identification No. of the terminal is to be changed, to a BTS testing equipment. When the terminal identification No. is normally changed and the system is normally operated, the sector and the channel assigned by the BTS testing equipment are selected, and then, a call is instructed to be set up by using the corresponding destination number. If there is a fault in the system, an error message at the defective part is informed an operator. When a call is normally set up, a response to the call origination is transmitted through an access channel of a backward channel up to a channel interface processor(CIP), the data is sent to the BTS call processing block. Then, the BTS call processing block analyzes the data and reports a data analysis result such as the access channel number where the call has been set up, the sector or a frequency assignment to the BTS diagnosis block. In order to stop the call, the BTS diagnosis block transmits a call stop message to the BTS testing equipment. Then, the BTS testing equipment transmits it to the terminal to stop the call. After the call is stopped, the BTS diagnosis block changes it to the original terminal identification No.
