The moving stairway or travolator has a number of light barriers across the width with transmitters and receivers alternating and connected together and to an electronic evaluation unit by cables and special connectors. The electronic monitoring unit (2), with a display (3), is connected by cables (11,12) to light emitters (4) and receivers (5) along each side (a,b) of the pedestrian carrier. The transmitters and receivers are positioned near the base of the sides and alternate along the length of the escalator or band. Cables (6,7,8,9) connect the devices together through connectors (10) and return to the electronic unit through cables (13,14). |
