The overlay/interface 30 includes a base 5 with front and back standoffs 10,20 and a foldable support leg 25. In use, the overlay is placed on the top surface of a keyboard and one end of a flexible strap 40 is attached to the base via a block 50 (Fig.1A) close to the front standoff. The attachment may be achieved by a quick-release fastener (Fig.3A), an aperture/peg fastener (Fig.4), a hook/loop fastener (Fig.5A), or a permanent mount (Fig.6). The other end of the strap is attached to the base via a block 70 (Fig.1 B) close to the back standoff. The strap surrounds the keyboard and can be flexible or rigid with length adjusting means to compensate for keyboards of varying sizes. Rubber feet 60 and guide fins (95,Fig.1C) may be provided on the underside of the base to prevent the standoffs from slipping relative to the keyboard. An aperture 80 (Fig.1B) may be provided to allow a user to view the keyboard and assist in aligning the overlay relative thereto. Additionally, the height of the front and back standoffs may be adjusted independently of each other using adjustment assemblies (530,540,Fig.2A). Furthermore, the spacing between the front and back standoffs may be adjusted by sliding the standoffs along tracks (550,Fig.2C) towards or away from each other. |
