PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for efficiently producing such a solid material as fuel, fertilizer or feed from dehydrated sludge. SOLUTION: A screw 3 is provided in the barrel 1 of a two-shaft extruder, and a heater 4 is arranged on the periphery of the barrel 1. A first inlet 2 is provided at the uppermost stream part of the barrel 1, a second inlet 7 at the intermediate part, a first vent 5 on the upstream side of the first inlet 2 and a second vent 16 almost intermediate between the second inlet 7 and the discharge port of the barrel 1. A nozzle 10 and a cutter 11 are furnished to the discharge port of the barrel 1 to recover the dried and kneaded sludge as a solid material of specified shape. The dehydrated sludge introduced from the first inlet 2 is kneaded by the two-shaft screw 3, heated by the heater 4 and dried to about 60 wt.% water content. Subsequently, plastic waste and quick line are added from the second inlet 7. |
