PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set, in which the user enters a desired music scale independently of key entry. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a conversion means 104 that converts a voice signal picked up by a microphone 103 into a digital voice signal, an arithmetic means 105 that extracts a frequency component equivalent to a music scale from the digital voice signal to obtain scale information generates the music scale signal from the music scale information and provides an output, and a drive means 106 that drives a voice output device 107 based on the music scale signal. Thus, an incoming tone is set, based on the input voice by the user, and the user enters an object music scale without key entry.
