PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice reporting device for caller or callee that can let you know who is a caller without going so close to a display device as usual. SOLUTION: A telephone number to be registered in advance and an arbitrary voice are inputted by a number voice inputting means 3, both of these are related to each other and stored in a register number voice storage circuit 25. Then, a signal to be transmitted from a telephone line is received by a caller telephone number receiving circuit 23 and the caller telephone number is fetched out of this received signal. The fetched caller telephone number is compared with the register number in a telephone number comparison voice selection circuit 27 and, when there is a coincident number, a voice corresponding to the coincident register number is selected. The selected voice is actually generated by a selected voice generation circuit 13.
