Vehicle drive train vibration damper

The vibration damper (10) forms a separate unit (10) from its individually operated storage spring dampers arranged in the vehicle drive train and for this purpose has a torque transfer point (16d) in the chamber (12) and engagement groups (14). The torque transfer points are fitted with driver nose or driver recess (16d) and/or a recess (24a) for screwbolt or rivet, and both groups (12,14) have driving faces forcibly or firction-connected to the drive train of the vehicle, with the transfer points bonded, welded or soldered to the associated part of the drive train. Additional devices set displacement flows in the viscous medium whenever the two groups rotate relative to one another and the wall of the chamber group limiting the ring chamber has a pocket area making a zone of limited peripheral extent in which the group chamber wall is at a greater axial distance from the engagement group (14).
