Mat used as door-mat

The mat for use as doormat comprises elements (1) which may be elongated and substantially rectangular in shape with two longer sides (2,3) and having mesh structure formed by short partitioning walls (9-13) which act as multiple sole scrapers to remove dirt from users' shoes. To permit folding or rolling of the mat the material of construction is flexible and elastic. A mat of any required size may be made by connecting elements by pressing their log outer sides together so that pegs (4) of one element enter the holes (8) in the long side of the adjacent elements.
