PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To orderly house the optical fiber cores drawn out of an optical fiber cable in a closure by housing these optical fiber cores into an extra length housing case to a loop form and taking around the fibers while maintaining the loops in the closure. SOLUTION: This extra length housing case has a case body 11 which is formed with arc grooves 14 to be placed with the extra length parts of the optical fiber cores along these grooves and a cap 20 which is attachably and detachably mounted at this case body 11, exists over the arc grooves 14 and holds the extra length parts of the optical fiber cores in the arc grooves 14. While the optical fiber cores drawn out of the optical fiber cable for branching inserted into the closure from the same direction as the direction of the optical fiber cable for a trunk are placed along the arc grooves 14 of the case body 11, the optical fiber cores are wound to the loop form. The cap 20 is mounted at the case body 11 while these loops are maintained. As a result, the state in which the optical fiber cores are housed in the extra length housing case 10 is obtd. |
