Articles and materials with antifouling surface properties are obtained by coating with a formulation containing organofunctional silanes and fluoroorganosilanes and/or their hydrolysates and/or condensation products. Also claimed are a method of producing articles and materials with antifouling surface properties by treatment with this formulation and the use of the formulation for this purpose.
