PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component suction head, for an electronic-component mounting machine, by which an electronic component can be sucked and held surely and by which the electronic component can be mounted smoothly on a printed-wiring board without causing a dislocation. SOLUTION: The rear end side of a through hole 27 formed in the central part of a suction nozzle part 24 the tip part of which is provided with a suction face 33 to an electronic component is connected to a vacuum generation device. An elastic ring body 32 is fitted and fixed to the tip part of the suction nozzle part 24 in a state that it surrounds the circumference of the through hole 27 and that it protrudes slightly from the suction face 33. An ejector pin 28 in which an intake part 38 communicating with the through hole 27 from the tip part is fitted to the through hole 27 so as to be freely slidable in such a way that its tip part is projected and retreated by a prescribed length with reference to the suction face 33. The ejector pin 28 is energized by a spring body 31 to a direction in which its tip part protrudes from the suction face 33.
