Vacuum interrupter tube arrangement

The vacuum interrupter tube (10) has a main body formed by a pair of in line tubes (11,12) that engage flanges formed on the metallic screening that is located within the housing and inside of which is the contact system. The contact studs (14,15) are in line and are fixed to the ends of axially aligned rods (16,17). The screening is formed by two tubes (20,21) with flanges that are soldered together. The tubes are identical and the flanges (22,23) have formed holes and lugs that engage to provide alignment and centring.
