The negative ion generating apparatus of a TV receiver comprises: a secondary coil of a flyback transformer(1), which is used to supply a high voltage to the TV, for sending a negative high voltage to a negative rectification unit; the negative rectification unit for rectifying the negative high voltage and sending to a discharging rod(8); and the discharging rod for generating negative ions by applying the received rectified negative voltage.
