PURPOSE:To provide a fully automatic liquid supplier for optically detecting whether or not a container exists and completion of liquid injection. CONSTITUTION:A light spot is generated on a container 5 by beam light projected from a light projector 3, wherein transmitted diffusion light is emitted from the light spot position out of the container 5 if the container 5 is made of a light diffusing material such as paper and an opaque plastic. When a translucent liquid is injected, the beam light is refracted on a liquid face thereby moving the light spot position. When the transmitted diffusion light is detected by a light receiver 4 from the above illuminating position, it is judged that the container 5 has been mounted, and liquid injection begins from a nozzle 14 by an instruction from an injection start control means. On the other hand, when the transmitted diffusion light is detected from a refraction-illuminating position near the above illuminating position (or when the transmitted diffusion light it net detected from the illuminating position), it is judged that a liquid level reaches a target level (target liquid level), so that liquid infection from the nozzle 14 is stopped by an instruction from an injection stop control means. |
