This invention provides an apparatus capable of measuring deviation of a body axis with respect to three axes of forward- and rearward bending, inclination and twist of the body, and a method capable of regulating deviation of the body axis. The measuring equipment of the body axis includes means (20) for partially fixing the body of a user such as a waist and measuring means (30) for detecting the movable ranges of the body relating to the forward and back, right and left or vertical axis of the body with the joint portion as the support point with respect to the portion so fixed, and the regulation method of the body axis comprises grasping the position equally dividing the movable range relating to the joint portion in the body of the user as deviation of the body axis, and reciprocatingly turning the body so as to eliminate deviation with respect to one of the axis of the forward and back, right and left or vertical axes with the other two axes as the support points.
