<p>PURPOSE:A fluid of gas-liquid mixed phase consisting of a liquid sealant and a conveying gas is passed through existing conduits under specific conditions, thereby enabling the easy and sure application of the sealant to the parts to be sealed and reducing the amount of the liquid sealant employed. CONSTITUTION:Blowers 3, 4 are connected to existing conduits 1 having vertically curved parts. A liquid sealant is supplied from tank 5 to mixer 6 to form a fluid of gas-liquid mix phase consisting a conveying gas and the liquid sealant, which is passed through conduit 1 at such a high speed as to form circulating or spraying flows. The sealant is filled and accumulated on the depression parts such as cracks or holes to be sealed by roughening the inner surface of the conduit and the surface is smoothened. The excess shealant is recovered through a gas-liquid separator provided on the way of exhausting path or recycled through mixer 6.</p> |
