<p>PURPOSE:To provide an ESR furnace, by which a clean steel having little defect is obtd. and a large AC current operation can be executed. CONSTITUTION:The vacuum electroslag remelting furnace is composed of a water cooling mold 1 for solidifying molten metal in the laminated layer state, a cylindrical furnace body 2 having a slag chute 2a for supplying the slag at the side part and a gas exhaust hole 2b connected with a vacuum evacuating device 19, a supporting table 8a arranging an elevating/lowering device 8 at the upper part and bridge pier 18 supporting the supporting table 8a. At least the furnace body 2, a furnace cover 5, dynamic seal structural part 6, guide rod 7, stinger rod 9, stub 10 and the bridge pier 18 are made of non-magnetic material on each.</p> |
