Suspension for vehicles including hydraulic assemblies (5) joined together in pairs by a circuit (9) to which is coupled a connection circuit (10) allowing the fluid to act on one assembly forming a damper (shock absorber) and spring. Each circuit (10), known as a "unit", consists of two identical assemblies (11) mounted in series symmetrically on either side of a transfer assembly (12) and comprises: - a member which is incompressible but which can be moved linearly under the action of the circulation of the fluid inside the connecting circuit when a wheel is subjected to a vertical action and allowing movements of like amplitude but opposite sense of the similar member of the second half-unit; - a hydraulic damper interposed between the incompressible element and the transfer element located between the two half-units; - an assembly forming a spring pushing the incompressible element and the intermediate transfer element away from one another. <IMAGE>
