The support arm (1) includes a thrust device (pusher) (2) interacting with a large face (6) of the casting mould, a device (4) for adjusting and for tightening/loosening the large face (6) by means of the thrust device (2), and a chassis (3) for supporting the adjustment device (4). The chassis (3) includes a recess (18) in which the thrust device (2) is slidably mounted. The thrust device (2) consists of at least two pieces (10, 11) mounted one on the other by means of a pivot coupling (12, 13). The thrust device (2) constitutes a pole and the chassis (3) constitutes the yoke of a magnetic circuit. <IMAGE>
