PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of image quality even when a screen size is optionally changed by enabling sharply displaying a received color still image or color animation by means of binary halftone display and also restricting the occurrence of moire by means of binarization. CONSTITUTION:Reception still image code data which is received and separated by a multimedia multiplex separating part is transmitted to a buffer 26, image data is extended by an image data compressing and extending equipment 27 and only luminance component is transmitted to the buffer 28. When the decoding of one frame is completed, only Y component image data is read from the buffer 28 and executed a variable magnification processing by a variable magnification part 34 in accordance with the request of a four point linear interpolating part 29. The variable magnification image element is binarized by an error diffusion transforming part 30 and binary harftone display is generated so as to be displayed in LCD. |
