PURPOSE:To form an image in an area in accordance with the size of supplied paper even in a paper manually feeding mode by providing an input means inputting information on the size of the paper supplied from a paper manually feeding means. CONSTITUTION:When the paper P is set on a manual feeding tray 18a, a microswitch 18b is turned on and a controller detects that the paper P exists on the tray 18a and sets a device main body 1 in the paper manually feeding mode. Then, an image forming condition such as the number of copies and image density, etc., is set on a control panel 8, and simultaneously an operator designates the size of the manually fed paper P by a paper size selection key 8c, and further selects various additional functions by an automatic magnification selection key 81 as necessary. In the case the key 8c is turned on, copying magnification is set based on the size of an original and the size of the paper inputted in order to perform automatic magnification converting operation, and further the lens 12b of an exposure device 12 is moved and adjusted so as to obtain specified copying magnification and stands by exposure scanning. |
