PURPOSE:To enable an ink ribbon to be stably moved and neatly taken up, by providing a ribbon sliding means at an outer edge of a reentrance port for an ink ribbon so that the ink ribbon will not be caught by the outer edge. CONSTITUTION:The ribbon sliding means 17 provided at the outer edge of the reentrance port 16 for the ink ribbon 10 is so constructed that when the ribbon 10 is sagged, the sagged part can be sliden into a cut before the sag grows large. The radius of curvature of a curved surface 18 of the outer edge of the port 16 is set to be not less than 2mm. If the radius of curvature is less than 2mm, a sliding property sufficient for sliding the sagged part of the ribbon 10 into the cut can not be obtained. The outer edge of the port 16 may be formed as a slant surface 10 opened wide outward, or a roller 20 may be supported through a shaft at the outer edge of the port 16. |
