Each inflatable element (4) comprises a rigid small bar (5), a deformable envelope formed around this small bar (5), which deformable envelope comprises an inner sleeve (10) and an outer sleeve (11) which, after treatment by vulcanisation, are secured together. It is characterised in that the inner sleeve (10): - is produced by overlapping the longitudinal edges of a flexible sheet of a material which is airtight, and - has its zones of linking of this sheet both at its ends and at the overlap of its longitudinal edges (14, 14a) which, prior to the outer sleeve being made up around it and vulcanisation of the assembly, are themselves rendered leaktight so as to create a leaktight inner sleeve offering a great mechanical strength. <IMAGE>
