Case 5-14130/=DIV I 21489-6368D 2-Amino-4-cyclopropylpyrimidines and - triazines, and processes to prepare them, of the general formula V are described: in which E is methine or nitrogen, R1 is hydrogen, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy, and R2 is halogen, lower alkyl, lower-haloalkyl, lower alkoxy, lower haloalkoxy, amino, lower alkylamino, lower dialkylamino, cycloalkyl or lower alkoxyalkyl. These compotmds find use in the preparation of the related N-(cyclopropylpyrimidinyl)-and N-(cyclopropyltriazinyl)-N'-(arylsulfonyl)ureas, which have herbicidal pxoperties. |
