Limiting power output of vehicle engine - involves adjustable stop to limit opening of throttle
摘要
The power output from the engine of a motor vehicle is controlled by the throttle (1). The degree of opening of the throttle is normally controlled by a cable (5) which may be actuated by a servo motor (6) or directly by the accelerator pedal. The maximum power output from the engine can be limited if required by means of a second cable (3b) one end of which is wound around a pulley (3a) mounted on the shaft of the throttle butterfly play. The other end of this cable is attached to an actuating device (7) with an adjustable stop. The position of this stop determines the maximum degree of opening of the throttle (1). USE - Power limitation of motor vehicle engines.
