Rectifier circuit for high blocking voltage - has FET control stage operating to provide high voltage operation with low losses
摘要
The a.c. voltage supply is provided by the secondary winding of a transformer (WQ) and is rectified to provide an input to a load (RL) via a diode (D1). Located in series with the diode is an FET (F) that switches during the period that the blocking voltage is applied to the diode. The control electrode of the FET receives an input, such that it conduits when delta V=RDson. i1+VD1 is satisfied. Here RDson is the resistance of the FET in the conducting state and VD1 is the voltage drop across the diode. ADVANTAGE - Suitable for high blocking voltage.
