Rod-shaped structural element, such as for uprights, braced elements and the like, consisting of an outer, generally tubular main element (11) that forms an integrated sandwich structure with an inner foamed mass (20), where forces can be transferred between the interior of the generally tubular element and the foamed mass. When the outer tubular element is being formed, a known method is used to supply a two-component foamed mass that is being shaped. Before or during the supply of the foamed mixture there is a pretreatment on the inside of the tubular element, preferably degreasing, to increase the adhesion between the foam (20) and the outer tube (11) and possibly the inner tube (12). The outer tubular element is preferably positioned with a fall in the direction of movement in the area downstream of the supply of the foamed mass.
|
