The window strip comprises two or more adjacent frames joined together by a bracket having tow or more parallel ribs spaced apart for each frame member, enclosed by the latter on the inside or outside. At a distance (1, 1') from the end (2) of each member is a distance-piece (3) between member (2) and bracket (4). The distance is such that in the event of an alteration in length of the member (5) at right angles to it the free member end (2) can bend sufficiently to avoid the member (5) breaking free.
