PURPOSE: To obtain a skin of a certain thickness that can be painted the same color as that of a vehicle body by sealing on a reinforcement material a rigid polyurethane foam or a material that can be processed by a RIM process to thereby form a core material and molding on this core material a high density polyurethane or a material that can be processed by the RIM process. CONSTITUTION: A core material is formed of a web 21 and a leg 22, or it is produced from a reinforcement material 26 in a casting mold comprising a female mold and a male mold 25. It is advantageous that the reinforcement material is metallic, and for instance, in the case of an auxiliary wing, the reinforcement material is constituted by a metallic flat rod provided with a fixing screw that corresponds to the leg 22 and a corrugated sheet on which the flat rod is placed, and in the case of a bequet, ends of two tubes parallel to each other are connected by a separator and a curved flat rod. In the case of a metallic reinforcement member 26, a reinforcement material is sealed in a low density polyurethane foam using the casting mold 23 and a fixing screw 31 is attached to an end of a led 22 of the core material. A skin produced as described above can increase the overall rigidity, and an appearance extremely close to the color of a painted panel of the vehicle body can be obtained by painting. |
