PURPOSE:To subject a work piece to exact bending, etc., without nonuniformity with simple constitution by providing a mechanism to lower and rise an upper die by injecting and discharging compressed air to and from an air hose. CONSTITUTION:Frame bodies 21, 23 sandwiching the air hose 24 formed of a flexible material are installed on a sliding member 22 and shafts 26, 27 are loosely inserted into collar parts 22a, 22b thereof and are set to a fixing member 13 via coiled springs 32, 33. The upper die 20 is fixed via a connecting member 39 to the lower part of the sliding member 22. The air hose 24 expands and moves the member 22 downward by overcoming the energizing force of the springs 32, 33 when the compressed air is injected into the air hose 24 in this constitution. The upper die 20, therefore, moves downward and compresses the work piece between said die and a lower die 17, thereby executing bending, etc. The compressed air in the air hose 24 is discharged upon ending of the bending, etc. The member 22 is then moved upward and the upper die 20 is parted from the lower die 17.
