PURPOSE:To enhance the corrosion resistance of a conveyer chain and to reduce meshing noise by forming inner and outer link plates from Al-Zn-Mg alloy surface.treated, by forming rollers from Al alloy surface-treated, and by forming bushings and pins from stainless steel. CONSTITUTION:Inner and outer link plates 6, 9 of a conveyer chain 1 are formed from Al-Zn-Mg alloy having been surface-treated. Further, rollers 7 are formed from 41 alloy having been surface-treated, and bushings 5 and pins 10 are formed from stainless steel. Therefore, even in a corrosive atmosphere, it is prevented from being corroded so that it is healthful even it is used for a conveyer for conveying foods such as sushi or the like. Further, it is not abruptly worn even if it is used in such a condition that no lubrication oil is fed, and therefore, it is safely used for conveying clothes. Since the rollers 7 are made of Al alloy which is softer than carbon steel, it is possible to reduce the noise upon meshing between a sprocket and the rollers 7.
