INK FOR INK-JET RECORDING

PURPOSE:To improve ejection stability and recording characteristics of an ink composed mainly of a recording agent and a liquid medium, by adding a specific compound to the above ink. CONSTITUTION:An ink-jet recording ink composed mainly of a recording agent and a liquid medium is incorporated with a compound of formula I [R is (substituted) phenyl; R1 and R2 are H or 1-4C alkyl; R3 is 2-8C alkyl; the above alkyls may be substituted] (e.g. the compound of formula II). The com pound may be used singly as a liquid medium of the recording agent or used as a mixture with a non-aqueous solvent. In the latter case, the content of the compound is preferably 20-99wt.% of the recording liquid.
