PURPOSE:To obtain a handy printer of a thermal transfer system imparting good printing quality, by providing a guide member for peeling off an ink ribbon immediately after passed through a thermal head from a printing surface at a predetermined angle. CONSTITUTION:When a case 10 is held to be pressed to printing paper 20, a switch 12 is turned ON readied at a printable state. Next, the whole is moved to the direction shown by an arrow B to rotate a ribbon press roller 2 and a synchronous signal for printing is generated from an encoder 5. In synchronous relation to said synchronous signal, the printing data from an external apparatus is printed on printing paper 20 by a thermal head 1. A guide roller 9 being one kind of a guide member peels off an ink ribbon 3 after passing the thermal head 1 from the surface of the printing paper at a predetermined angle. Because the optimum peel-off angle of the ink ribbon at the time of the separation from the printing surface changes by the characteristic of the ink ribbon or a temp. condition, the guide roller 9 is made adjustable in the direction shown by an arrow D and the peel-off angle is adjusted to enable correspondence even if the kind of the ink ribbon changes. |
