<p>Seat cushion, especially for motor vehicles, which cushion has a rigid frame 4, a suspension element 1, 2 fixed to the said frame 4, a foam covering 19 pressing on this suspension element 1, 2 and an outer coating 20 forming a cover whose sides 22 are equipped with means 24, 26 for clipping and connecting the flexible lateral sides 22 of the coating to the frame 4, characterised in that the lower edge a of lateral sides 22 carries a semi-rigid flange 23 whose front edge has a hook 24 for fastening to a lateral element 10, 10' of the frame 4 whilst the median portion of the said flange has a means 25 for uni-directional wedging orientated in the direction of the other end of this flange 23 equipped moreover with a retaining appendage 26 engaged in a lateral fixed fitting 9, 9' of this same frame 4.
