PURPOSE:To perform original paper replacing work in short time with high efficiency thus to improve the work by discharging the residual roll paper on a millstand through side section conveyor to the ware house side while simultaneously carrying the unpacked roll paper through another conveyor and holding on the stand. CONSTITUTION:Original roll paper S unpacked through unpacking machine 60 is lowered onto second conveyor 22 and held there until receiving a carry-in signal from a millstand 13. While an original paper S supported by the stand 13 is lowered onto third conveyor 23 to carry the residual roll paper S' through a conveyor 23 thus to start the conveyor 22 and to feed the unpacked original paper S onto the conveyor 23. Upon detection of the original paper S through a detector PH7, the unpacked original paper S is stopped in the center of the stand 13 through the detection signal and the supporting arms 14 will approach each other to lift the original paper S while holding at the opposite ends. If there is no residual roll paper S' in the intermediate stopper 95, the residual roll paper S' stopped on the conveyor 23 is carried by a pusher 90' to the stopper 95 then to a discharge conveyor 114.
